Saturday: 9am - 7pm

In a world of connectivity to social media and email, we are all in constant connection with one another. Then why are so many people feeling burned out, distant from colleagues, and abandoned by family and friends?

In this new book, Sakyong Mipham uses the basic principles of the Shambhala tradition — meditation and a sincere belief in the inherent wisdom, compassion, and courage of all beings — to help readers listen and speak more mindfully with loved ones, co-workers, strangers, and even ourselves.

In celebration of this timely and essential release, The Shambhala Meditation Center of New York invites you to a profound weekend program that will give you insights to the importance of conversation, tools to improve your conversation ability, and a place to practice the lost art of good conversation.

Join Sakyong Mipham, host Lodro Rinzler and esteemed panelists Shastri Ethan Nichtern, Seth Godin, Dan Harris, Jocelyn Cooper, and Dr. Shanté Paradign Smalls, for the live events Friday night where we will hear a variety of perspectives on how good conversation is the backbone of building society.

Return Saturday as Lodro Rinzler hosts a day-long retreat featuring a talk by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche and practice in conversing from a place of authenticity. In this timely event weekend, we'll discover how conversation can change our connections to ourselves, each other and our world.
