Let’s explore the way we resonate with life and the universe. \nDr. Richard L. Koral has been a Leader at the New York Society for Ethical Culture since 2017. Richard holds degrees from New York University and New York Law School\, and a Doctor of Ministry in interfaith pastoral counseling from the Hebrew Union College. He is the Leader Consultant to the Social Service Board and numerous committees in the Society.  Active with the American Ethical Union\, Richard served on its Board as president from 2012 to 2015. He also serves as part-time Leader for the Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island. \nStu Fuchs will be joining us to perform original songs & dazzling ukulele instrumentals in jazz & pop styles!\n\n\nStuart Fuchs is a Grammy-nominated multi instrumentalist\, recording artist\, and an innovative workshop facilitator.  He passionate about helping people of all backgrounds to enjoy playing music with greater ease\, freedom and joy.\n\nIn addition to being a very active teacher & performer in the international “ukulele circuit”\, Stu has facilitated music workshops for Fortune 500 CEO’s and at holistic centers across North America\, Europe and The Caribbean.\n\nStu toured the world with renowned sacred chant artist Snatam Kaur\, playing meditative guitar styles to audiences of 5\,000 people.  His award-winning Django Reinhardt/Gypsy Jazz band “Babik” performed at major festivals\, with symphony orchestras\, and was featured on Public Radio International.\n\nFor eight years Stu worked as a professional artist-in-residence at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo NY where he offered healing music and different creative therapies for patient\, families and hospital staff.  In 2014 he was awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to create music & films documenting his work offering healing music at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.\n\nStu offers weekly ukulele lessons and music inspiration at his YouTube channel “Ukulele Zen”\n\nClick here to join at start time | ID 863 0430 0961\nFor full join information\, please also see this week’s Ethical Weekly email. \nPresider: Sarah Sprott \nShared Charity: Heifer International \n\nSunday Platform is our most important and long-standing community event. These gatherings educate\, stimulate personal growth\, inspire reflection and action\, and strengthen our community. Sunday meetings usually begin with music\, followed by greetings and a talk given by a Society Leader\, member\, or guest.  Platforms cover a variety of topics that reflect current events\, pressing social issues\, and Ethical Culture philosophy. A collection basket is passed and money is shared between the Society and a charity selected for that day.  While contributions are always appreciated\, Sunday meetings are free and open to the public.  Each Sunday meeting is followed by a luncheon and social hour. \nTo view previous Sunday Platform addresses and interviews\, visit the Ethical NYC YouTube channel.

SUMMARY:Young Ethical Explorers - Planting a Seed of Intergenerational Friendship: Mystery Buddies! (Online)
DESCRIPTION:YEE members will adopt an elder pen pal\, a “Mystery Buddy.” YEE will create personal introductions without revealing who they are. Partnering children with older Ethical Members\, YEE plants the seeds of intergenerational friendship. Ethical Mystery Buddies will pen-pal through the YEE mailbox. \nWith guided writing prompts\, children (with family assistance if needed) and adult participants will commit to writing letters. Using a “mystery mail” process we will get to know each other through stories. By springtime\, we’ll be we’ll be ready to Zoom together in a “Reveal Party” of partnerships that can lead to life-long\, community-building friendships. \nYEE has moved online with Zoom\, and as always\, newcomers and visitors are welcome! To join\, please RSVP to Youth Programs Director Audrey Kindred at youngethicalexplorers@gmail.com.
