SUMMARY:Thought Salon (Online)
DESCRIPTION:Are you searching for the opportunity to “think out loud” in a respectful and supportive space? Do you love asking questions instead of taking things at face value? Do you want to become a more reflective thinker? We revive the lost art of conversation and fine-tune our critical thinking skills\, opening our minds to new perspectives and possibilities! Dilemmas\, brief readings\, life’s questions\, and personal experience are used as a catalyst for dialogue. \nLimited to 20 participants; NYSEC members only. (Except for non-members already in group who will be “grandfathered” in.) If you would like to try the group or become an ongoing member\, please email Maggie Determann at mdetermann@nysec.org. Sandi Sacks moderates. 2nd Tuesdays.

SUMMARY:Getting to Know You (Online)
DESCRIPTION:In this session\, two members dialogue with one another (or with one of the moderators). The “dialogue partners” respond to 4 or 5 questions they themselves have chosen (about growing up\, career\, interests\, adventures… whatever; plus one about being a member of NYSEC). It’s all part of getting to know our Ethical Culture family in a comfortable\, casual way. Larry Hurst & Elinore Kaplan moderate. \nThis week’s guests: Sandi Sacks and Eva Yachnes \nIf you’d like to be a dialogue partner at one of our programs\, Email editor Elinore Kaplan at Outlook at: ethicaloutlook@gmail.com \nClick here to join at start time | ID 814 7073 5630 | Passcode 158119\n \n\nYou can download Zoom at https://zoom.us/download\, although it’s not necessary to do ahead of time. Zoom is available for tablets and smartphones in both main app stores\, Apple and Google Android. Attendees don’t need to register for a Zoom account although it’s free and helpful. To join a meeting\, simply click the event’s invitation link above.
