DESCRIPTION:In-person and online! \nMark Twain said that if history doesn’t always repeat itself\, it surely rhymes.  And the sound of war has been our consistent soundtrack. Must it always be so? While the great powers are antagonizing each other once again\, can’t we build a culture of peace? \nDr. Richard L. Koral has been a Leader at the New York Society for Ethical Culture since 2017. Richard holds degrees from New York University and New York Law School\, and a Doctor of Ministry in interfaith pastoral counseling from the Hebrew Union College. He is the Leader Consultant to the Social Service Board and numerous committees in the Society. Active with the American Ethical Union\, Richard served on its Board as president from 2012 to 2015. He also serves as part-time Leader for the Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island. \nNotice: Only fully-vaccinated individuals are invited to attend in-person at this time. Sunday meetings begin with music\, followed by greetings and a talk given by a Society Leader\, member\, or guest.  Platforms cover a variety of topics that reflect current events\, pressing social issues\, and Humanist philosophy. Topics are explored in an age-appropriate way through discussion\, storytelling\, dramatization\, music\, art\, games\, and field trips. \nRSVP is essential to guarantee your place and for planning purposes.
