Rev. Al Sharpton has been a major leader in this movement starting as an activist in his teens and later forming the National Action Network in 1991. As a significant player he offers insight into the evolution\, growth\, and challenges he has experienced over time and his thoughts for the opportunities now and in the future. \nProof of vaccination required \nLunch included \n$20/pre registration\, $25/at door \nSpeaker: \nReverend Dr. Al Sharpton is the founder and President of the National Action Network (NAN)\, a not-for-profit civil rights organization formed in 1991 with over 100 chapters nationwide. As one of the nation’s most-renowned civil rights leaders\, Reverend Al Sharpton has been praised by President Barack Obama as “the voice of the voiceless and a champion for the downtrodden.” He hosts a daily radio show “Keepin’ it Real w/ Rev. Al Sharpton\,” a national cable news television show titled “Politics Nation” and he is an established author.
