These gatherings educate\, stimulate personal growth\, inspire reflection and action\, and strengthen our community. Sunday meetings begin with music\, followed by greetings and a talk given by a Society Leader\, member\, or guest.  Platforms cover a variety of topics that reflect current events\, pressing social issues\, and Humanist philosophy. DESCRIPTION:Featuring the Diderot String Quartet! \nThe period music movement has now extended well into the early 20th century\, as intrepid groups re-examine the late world of gut strings. This intimate union of Ravel and Rilke invites us into the Paris of 1903\, when two masterpieces were written just miles away at the same moment of La Belle Époque. \nRainer Maria Rilke’s famous correspondence with aspiring poet\, Franz Kappus was re-examined in 2020\, when all of Kappus’ letters to Rilke were unexpectedly found. Rilke’s mentorship is mirrored by Debussy’s influence on Ravel\, presenting four artists intertwined in a unique union of music and text.
