SUMMARY:29th Annual Gandhi-King Season for Nonviolence
DESCRIPTION:The 29th Annual “Gandhi-King Season For Nonviolence” Big Culminating Seasonal Intergenerational Educational Event! \n\n\n\n\nThe 29th Annual “Gandhi-King Season For Nonviolence” Big Culminating Seasonal Intergenerational Educational Event! YOU ARE INVITED! Friday\, March 27\, 2026!! The “Gandhi-King Season For Nonviolence” is an International Intergenerational Annual Celebration of the nonviolence philosophies of historical figures like Mahatma Mohandas Gandhi and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr. Designed to honor their vision for an empowered\, nonviolent world. It is an annual 64-day period spanning from January 30th (the day Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated in 1948) through April 4th (the day Dr. King was assassinated in 1968). Observance events globally can and do occur at any time between January 30th and April 4th. \nSince its establishment the dynamic Culminating Educational Observance Event in NYC has often had many prominent historical guests\, along with community leaders\, educators\, and powerful\, wonderful youth presentations and performances. Under the direction of The Institute For International Leadership\, Nonviolence and Service: LEARN\, LEAD\, SERVE Inc. in the past few years this important event has found a new home both online and at The New York Society for Ethical Culture’s Adler Concert Hall (where major artists like Garmmy Winner Ed Sheeran have performed https://ethical.nyc/rentals/ ). \nGandhi-King SFN launched in 1998 at The United Nations with members of the Gandhi & King families. Since then\, using an ‘omni-local’ model of citizen empowerment in over 900 cities in 67 countries\, local organizing groups that use nonviolent principles & practices have taken up being a part of it. This year we have currently scheduled the next big 29th Annual “Gandhi-King Season For Nonviolence” Culminating Educational Event for March 27\, 2026! There are opportunities for students/youth and others intergenerationally to present\, perform and attend. All are welcome at this Annual Intergenerational Educational Event. We hope to have you and your school\, youth organization or community involved! \n\n\nRSVP\n>>>RSVP Here on Eventbrite
