SUMMARY:Jody Sperling & Time Lapse Dance: Harborview Terrace Community Garden Performance
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the New York Society for Ethical Culture\, Jody Sperling and the Time Lapse Dance ensemble take root in the garden of NYCHA’s Harborview Terrace with a captivating site-specific performance that is FREE and open to the public as part of a community Family Day. \nThe performance features three works: Plastic Harvest\, a romp about plastic pollution that provokes contemplation about the beauty of that—and who—our society throws away;  Arbor\, which expresses human kinship with trees; and fresh surprise work created for the occasion. All ages welcome! \nClick to RSVP and receive updates on the event. \nThe Harborview Terrace Garden is easily visible by its brightly colored fence and is located on the south side of West 55th Street\, midway between 10th & 11th Avenues. \nPlease note\, all are welcome to attend the performance but lunch is reserved for NYCHA Harborview Terrace residents only. \nThis program is made possible in part by: an ongoing eco-artist-residency at The New York Society for Ethical Culture.
