She was born into wealth and privilege\, but fought again racism\, injustice and advocated for the advancement of all women. Professor Blanche Cook will discuss the impact she made in her lifetime and how she redefined the role of first lady. \nSpeaker: Blanche Wiesen Cook is a professor of history and women’s studies at the CUNY Graduate Center and John Jay College\, and the author of an award-winning three-volume biography of Eleanor Roosevelt.
