SUMMARY:"Where Broadway Meets the Blues" - Share and Learn with Singer/Songwriter Cliff Eberhardt (Online)
DESCRIPTION:Join us to learn about a panoply of creative activities brought to you by members\, friends\, relatives\, and neighbors. Q&A follows! This month we’re joined by folk singer/songwriter Cliff Eberhardt. \nSinger/songwriter Cliff Eberhardt is well known for his epic first album in the 90s on Windham Hill Records. “The Long Road” features a title cut duet with the late folk icon Richie Havens. Cliff’s songwriting is informed by everyone from Irving Berlin to the Beatles and Hemingway. His singular writing style also earned him a publishing deal with famed Cherry Lane Publishing in NYC. Eberhardt went on to produce 9 more albums on Shanachie and Red House Records to critical success as well as accumulating multiple song cuts by other notable artists like Richie Havens\, Shawn Colvin\, Buffy St. Marie\, Erasure\, Russ Taff and Cry Cry Cry (Dar Williams\, Richard Shindell & Lucy Kaplansky). \nHis latest projects are “Shrew Songs” – written and performed in the 2012 Folger Theatre’s award-winning production of “The Taming of the Shrew” and “The Heal” (2019) performed at the Getty Villa in L.A. His new album “Knew Things” (2021) landed at #4 on the FAI Folk Radio charts. He also works consistently as a songwriting teacher\, producer and arranger helping songwriters and other creatives edit and refine their work to only what is essential – creating space\, drama and elegance. \nClick to join at start | Zoom ID 884 1105 5819 | Passcode 140176\nTo join by phone (audio only)\, dial (929) 205-6099 and enter the Zoom ID above. \nWatch Cliff’s April performance at the famous Caffè Lena in Saratoga Springs:
