SUMMARY:Wonderlab: Designing Tomorrow
DESCRIPTION:What kind of future do we want—and how do we build it together? \nJoin us this summer for WONDERLAB\, a new interactive community science series at the New York Society for Ethical Culture. Wonderlab focuses on a new curriculum\, Designing Tomorrow\, which is a hands-on\, intergenerational science series where families\, children\, and adults come together to explore big ideas and tackle real-world challenges. Each session invites participants of all ages to experiment\, ask questions\, and collaborate on creative solutions—from understanding the natural systems that sustain life to designing ways we can better care for our communities and planet.\nThis is not a lecture—it’s a shared experience. Through interactive activities\, group challenges\, and guided discovery\, participants will learn by doing\, thinking\, and working together. Whether you’re building\, testing\, observing\, or imagining what’s possible\, every voice matters and every perspective adds to the solution. \nNo prior science experience needed—just curiosity\, creativity\, and a willingness to explore. Come ready to think\, create\, and design tomorrow—together. This program is free and open to youthful minds of all ages. \nDates and Times\nJune 28th 3:00 p.m.\nJuly 19th: 3:00 p.m.\nAugust 2nd: 3:00 p.m. \nThe Instructor and Educational Approach\nLed by Professor Curt Collier\, and utilizing evidenced based research on environmental training\, this program draws on more than 20 years of experience creating engaging\, award-winning community science experiences. Each session is designed to spark curiosity and build confidence\, helping young people—and the adults learning alongside them—think like scientists through hands-on exploration. \nUsing proven\, research-based approaches\, these workshops go beyond simple activities. Participants work together\, ask questions\, test ideas\, and discover how science connects to the world around them. Families learn side by side\, strengthening not only their understanding of science\, but their ability to solve problems and think critically together. \nIt’s a fun\, welcoming environment where learners of all ages can explore\, experiment\, and grow. \n>>> RSVP Here
