DESCRIPTION:Join us for a free screening of mama [rose.]! \nmama [rose.] is an afro-futurist queer\, circular time-traveling performance piece following three familial relationships and their journeys toward acknowledging and addressing intergenerational wounds. Observance events globally can and do occur at any time between January 30th and April 4th. \nSince its establishment the dynamic Culminating Educational Observance Event in NYC has often had many prominent historical guests\, along with community leaders\, educators\, and powerful\, wonderful youth presentations and performances. Under the direction of The Institute For International Leadership\, Nonviolence and Service: LEARN\, LEAD\, SERVE Inc. in the past few years this important event has found a new home both online and at The New York Society for Ethical Culture’s Adler Concert Hall \nGandhi-King SFN launched in 1998 at The United Nations with members of the Gandhi & King families. Currently Ms. Maloney continues her work in public service serving as President of the New York Chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) and Chair of the Advisory Board of the ERA Coalition’s Fund for Women’s Equality. She also sits on the Board of the Floating Hospital.
