SUMMARY:CONCERT Metropolitan Entertainment Presents: Vitamin String Quartet
DESCRIPTION:Long before Bridgerton broke the Netflix algorithm\, Vitamin String Quartet (VSQ) had helped establish classical crossover as a genuine force in contemporary music. Fresh off high-profile placements in Seasons 1 and 2 of the aforementioned streaming smash\, VSQ has “reached a mainstream\, global audience” (Variety) and “charmed the world with their classical covers” (Nylon). New York Observer wrote\, “VSQ’s atmospheric hits have made classical versions of pop music cool.” On their latest tour\, VSQ have created fresh arrangements of the cultural phenomenon that is Taylor Swift\, performing spellbinding and innovative renditions of Swift’s music\, alongside familiar hits from Billie Eilish\, BTS\, Bridgerton\, The Weeknd to Daft Punk. VSQ are one of the most popular string ensembles in the world with over 2 billion streams and seven albums charting on both Billboard Classical and Classical Crossover charts. \nTickets\nClick here to purchase tickets at Metropolitan Entertainment \nNOTICE: This concert is booked\, managed\, and ticketed by Metropolitan Entertainment.

SUMMARY:Young Ethical Explorers: Self-Empowerment\, Self-Advocacy\, and Conflict Resolution with Gabriella Belfiglio: ‘Standing Up For Our Values’
DESCRIPTION:Newcomers are always welcome! \nEvery other week we’re joined by Gabriella Belfiglio\, a long-time anti-bullying and self-defense teacher (and award-winning poet!) who will lead children in becoming empowered to express themselves and resolve conflicts with confidence and compassion–to become ‘upstanders’ not merely bystanders. \nChildren will learn how to stand up for themselves and others\, and gain resilience through skill-focused exercises and explorations led by Gabriella. This will be joyful and fun\, but will empower children with essential tools to face difficult moments\, hurt feelings\, and challenging peer pressures at school\, on the playground\, and beyond. \nFREE! Recommended for Ages 7-13 \nTo RSVP\, or for any questions\, please email Youth and Family Programs Coordinator Audrey Kindred at akindred@nysec.org. \nAbout Young Ethical Explorers\nYoung Ethical Explorers is the New York Society for Ethical Culture’s Humanist Sunday school for ages 3-11.
