Lunch with the League of Women Voters – Rebecca Fisher: “The Fight Against Gun Violence in New York”

Rebecca Fischer, Executive Director of New Yorkers Against Gun Violence (NYAGV), will discuss the actions NYAGV is taking to protect New Yorkers from gun violence. This includes fighting for legislation that would close federal loopholes that allow gun sales by internet and gun shows without background checks.
She will introduce a representative from the newly formed Youth Against Guns (YOG) a group of high school and college students of color who are working on life-saving policies and programs to prevent gun violence in their communities.
