Rawley Johnson: ‘The Promise of Sustainable Agriculture: A Farmer’s Perspective’ (Online)

March 29, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for Speaking of Science, our monthly series exploring current discoveries and debates in science. This month we’re joined by farmer and advocate Rawley Johnson.

Rawley Johnson is the owner of Early Bird Farm–a small, diversified family farm growing vegetables near Tacoma, WA. Rawley is passionate about sustainable agriculture and strives to be a good steward of the land he farms through a variety of climate and habitat friendly growing techniques. The farm’s fresh produce and eggs are primarily sold through a popular Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and the surplus is donated to local food banks with the help of dedicated volunteers. Rawley also runs an internship program on the farm that he hopes will inspire the next generation of sustainable farmers. Visit Early Bird online at earlybirdfarmer.com.
