DESCRIPTION:Join us for the kick-off of the 2022 season with the annual Fair Share Giving Lasagna Plus Luncheon. Leaders Richard Koral and Nori Rost will give a platform talk about the Society and will celebrate the activism and participation of its members and friends. A lasagna luncheon will be accompanied by music and reflections by your fellow Society members on their connection to the Society and to you\, the membership community. We will remember and celebrate our members for their long-standing commitments and look towards the coming year. \nSociety Members Only — In-Person Only – No Zoom \n\nSunday Platform is our most important and long-standing community event. These gatherings educate\, stimulate personal growth\, inspire reflection and action\, and strengthen our community. Sunday meetings usually begin with music\, followed by greetings and a talk given by a Society Leader\, member\, or guest.  Platforms cover a variety of topics that reflect current events\, pressing social issues\, and Ethical Culture philosophy. A collection basket is passed and money is shared between the Society and a charity selected for that day.  While contributions are always appreciated\, Sunday meetings are free and open to the public.  Each Sunday meeting is followed by a luncheon and social hour. \nTo view previous Sunday Platform addresses and interviews\, visit our Videos page and YouTube channel.

Advocacy organizations across the country are challenging these new regulations and are committed to protecting the rights of women to make these choices. Cohen is a professor of law at Drexel University. He litigates cases for the Women’s Law Project in Philadelphia and is on the board of directors for the national Abortion Care Network. David specializes on the intersection of constitutional law and gender\, emphasizing how the law impacts abortion provision\, including violence against abortion providers\, sex segregation and masculinity. He also researches voting anomalies in the Supreme Court. \nAimee Arrambide is the Executive Director of Avow\, a non-profit advocacy organization that works to secure unrestricted abortion access for every Texan. She was inspired to go into reproductive health\, rights and justice by her father who was an abortion provider in central and south Texas. She studied Philosophy at the University of Texas and received her Juris Doctor from New York Law School and joined Avow in 2006 and 2007\, becoming the political affairs director in 2013 and 2014 and the executive director in 2018.
