These gatherings educate\, stimulate personal growth\, inspire reflection and action\, and strengthen our community. Sunday meetings begin with music\, followed by greetings and a talk given by a Society Leader\, member\, or guest.  Platforms cover a variety of topics that reflect current events\, pressing social issues\, and Humanist philosophy. Postcard packets will also be available to take with you and complete at home if you prefer. \nReclaim Our Vote is back for the 2022 mid-term elections. So far\, our volunteers have blanketed Texas\, North Carolina\, Alabama\, South Carolina\, and Florida with postcards to help voters–especially minority voters–learn about\, and then beat\, voter suppression in their states. \nNext up: Georgia. \nPostcards from this event will be mailed to Georgia voters by early October\, ensuring they arrive before the midterm elections. \nPlease RSVP by August 26th to rov.nysec@gmail.com if you plan to attend. \nFighting voter suppression is more challenging than ever\, and directly engaging voters is absolutely crucial to protecting and expanding our democracy.
