Prior to that\, she served as the settled minister of All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church in Colorado Springs\, CO for 13 years. She previously was a minister in Metropolitan Community Churches (a queer Christian denomination) for 20 years before outgrowing the Christian faith. \nShe is passionate about social justice and has been involved in social rights activism since she was 17. She is an outspoken advocate for justice and equity and has received numerous awards and recognition for her work. \nNori holds a Master of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology in Denver\, Colorado\, and a Doctor of Ministry from the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge\, Massachusetts. Lewis Johnson co-founded Alelo in 2005 as a spinout of the University of Southern California\, under his leadership Alelo has developed into a major producer of innovative learning products focusing on communication skills. Alelo has developed courses for use in a number of countries around the world\, all using the Virtual Role-Play method. See the interview in CEOCFO Magazine. \nDr. Johnson holds a B.A. in linguistics from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in computer science from Yale University. He is an internationally recognized leader in innovation for education and training. In 2012 he was keynote speaker at the International Symposium on Automated Detection of Errors in Pronunciation Training in Stockholm. In 2013 he was keynote speaker at the IASTED Technology Enhanced Learning Conference and was co-chair of the Industry and Innovation Track of the AIED 2013 conference. In 2014 he was keynote speaker at the International Conference on Intelligent Tutoring Systems\, and was Distinguished Lecturer at the National Science Foundation. In 2015 he was keynote speaker at the ACT Insight Analytics and Emerging Technologies Symposium. When not engaged in developing disruptive learning products Lewis and his wife Kim produce Kona coffee in Hawaii.

Don’t miss this award-winning Broadway cast\, followed by a Q&A with the actors\, playwright Susan Charlotte\, and legendary attorney Marty Garbus\, who helped defend Lenny Bruce at his obscenity trial in 1964. \nThe People Versus Lenny Bruce is the third performance in “All the Court’s A Stage\,” Food for Thought Productions’ series of one-act plays based on cases of legendary defense attorney Marty Garbus. Called “one of the world’s finest trial lawyers\,” Garbus’ clients have included Philip Roth\, Samuel Beckett\, Igor Stravinsky\, John Cheever\, Daniel Ellsberg\, Al Pacino\, Susan Sontag\, and Lenny Bruce. \nIn April 1964\, Lenny Bruce appeared twice at the Cafe Au Go Go in Greenwich Village\, with undercover NYPD detectives in the audience. As he left the stage he was arrested for obscenity\, along with club owners Howard and Elly Solomon. \nBruce’s widely publicized trial lasted six months\, during which was defended by Ephraim London and our special guest Marty Garbus. \nBruce and Howard Solomon were found guilty despite testimony and petitions of support from artists\, writers and educators including Bob Dylan\, Jules Feiffer\, Allen Ginsberg\, Norman Mailer\, Woody Allen\, William Styron\, and James Baldwin\, along with Manhattan journalist and television personality Dorothy Kilgallen and sociologist Herbert Gans. Bruce was sentenced to four months in a workhouse\, dying while on bail awaiting appeal. They include: The Shoemaker starring Danny Aiello\, directed by Antony Marsellis; She’s Of A Certain Age; The Round Table (w/ Oscar & Tony winner Peter Stone)\, and When Truth Is Not Enough. Her play\, Love Divided By\, was produced by the Actors Studio and was made into a film with an original score by Philip Glass. The film reopened MoMA’s Titus II theatre. Her other films include: Something Like That\, A Broken Sole\, Come On (Hamptons Film Festival.) Her TV credits include; Did You Know My Husband? with Louise Lasser & Carole Shelley (PBS); The Comedy Zone with Patty Duke & Paul Reiser (CBS); Guiding Light and Loving (CBS). \nSusan authored the acclaimed books Creativity and Creativity In Film and has written for NY Magazine and Playbill. She was also a professor at Columbia U.\, NYU\, and City College. A Modern Drummer Magazine educational video contributor\, endorsed and sponsored by drum companies such as Vic Firth\, Sabian\, Kickport & Hudson Music Video\, Peter performs in drum clinics passing on his knowledge and passion for drumming to many an eager audience. Settings you may see him in would be the backing of shows and concerts such as Joe Piscopo\, Sal ‘The Voice’ Valentinetti and others in his position as drummer for the 18 piece NMJB jazz band. In addition to a busy performance schedule\, Peter has a state-of-the-art multimedia drum studio where he teaches\, writes drum books and records instructional videos in an effort to offer the finest in drum lessons and drum education. \nJerry McDonald is a native LI/NYC bassist who performs on both the upright bass and electric bass. After being introduced to the great Jazz-Fusion bassist Jaco Pastorius\, Jerry’s desire to study the tradition of Jazz Music was born. His musical journey\, however\, has led to many noteworthy performances in both Jazz and Rock genres. Jerry has had the opportunity to perform with Carl Allen\, Dan Faulk\, Rufus Reid Bass Quartet\, Earl Williams\, Tim Siciliano\, Mark Marino\, Tim Regusis\, Steve Salerno\, Ron Affif\, Swingset Quartet\, Jack Licitra\, and The Al Miller Big Band. He has also toured with vocalist Anastasia Renee and her Quartet in Russia\, as well as with Beledo Accoustic Trio in Puerto Rico. He’s played electric bass for Soul Revival\, a funk R&B Band\, performing at many clubs and events throughout the New York tri-state area and northeastern United States. \nPianist Stu Waters is an accomplished pianist and vocalist\, classically trained in piano at the Juilliard Prep School. Stuart started performing professionally at age 13 when he became involved in jazz and blues. At age 15\, he was featured as a rising star on WQXR Radio’s “Young America Plays”.
