Let’s bring out the best of others and thus ourselves through this heart-centered winter solstice program of many voices. \nHosted by Hugh Taft-Morales\, Ethical Culture Leader \nCall for Submissions: How Have You Navigated This Season and Times Like This? \nWe are seeking twelve Ethical Culturists to share their short story (up to 90 seconds) in response to any of these prompts: \n\nWhat gifts have darkness and light brought to your life?\nHow has darkness nourished you toward a moment of light?\nTell us about an incident\, person\, or moment in your life that recently brought you hope or joy?\n\nWe are seeking experiences from your life that you are willing to share with our national movement — a brief\, evocative description or illustration rather than an intellectual explanation. \nFor example: “Last month I visited my aunt who was distraught over the fact that her cat had gone missing….  Her cat\, named Willow\, was a great comfort to her…. As I was getting ready to leave\, the doorbell rang and when we opened it a neighborhood girl was holding Willow. The smile on my aunt’s face brightened my day.” \nYour story can be more descriptive so that it fits our 90-second format. These gatherings educate\, stimulate personal growth\, inspire reflection and action\, and strengthen our community. Sunday meetings begin with music\, followed by greetings and a talk given by a Society Leader\, member\, or guest.  Platforms cover a variety of topics that reflect current events\, pressing social issues\, and Humanist philosophy.
