These values helped expand religious liberty\, free speech\, innovation\, and the protection of individual rights\, creating extraordinary opportunities for human flourishing. Yet the same traditions can also foster isolation\, unchecked inequality\, exploitation\, and even open the door to authoritarian movements that promise order amid social fragmentation. \nThis talk explores the double-edged legacy of American freedom and asks a timely question: How do we preserve the liberties that have strengthened our democracy while cultivating the responsibilities and institutions that allow a free society to endure? \nCommunity lunch returns in September. \nMonthly Collection\nThe New York Society for Ethical Culture \nAbout Sunday Platform\nSunday Platform is our most important and long-standing community event.
