CANCELLED – Ethics and the Theater: Cost of Living by Martyna Majok

November 19 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Notice: This month’s performance has been cancelled. We’ll see you in December!

Our long-running play reading and discussion series continues with Cost of Living:

Truck driver Eddie struggles to reconnect with his estranged and partially paralyzed wife, Ani. Jess, overeducated and underemployed, takes a job assisting John, a graduate student with cerebral palsy and an only partly merited sense of entitlement. In her unsentimental, blackly funny Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Martyna Majok unspools the stories of these mismatched pairs in parallel, until their paths dramatically and poignantly, intersect.

After the play, member Betsy Ungar will moderate an open discussion about the ethical issues raised and explored in the work. Member Patricia Bruder Debrovner produces.
