Ethics Unplugged: “BC=EC²: Exploring MLK’s ‘Beloved Community'”

February 1, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

In-person and online! Join Society Leaders Nori Rost and Jé Hooper for Ethics Unplugged, an exciting re-imagining of Ethical Culture, every Wednesday at 7:00pm. Refreshments will be served!

This Week: BC=EC²

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke often about the concept of Beloved Community. This evening we will explore how the concept of Beloved Community can be used as the modern framework for Ethical Culture. How can using BC–that sense that we are all interconnected and depend upon one another to thrive–deepen our own understanding of what it means to be EC and to expand our reach into larger communities, thus fulfilling this equation.

February’s Theme: What’s Love Got to Do With It?

The month of February is known for its celebration of romantic love. In this month, Ethics Unplugged will take a kaleidoscopic turn and look at love through the lens of racial and ethnic diversity, queer relationships and evolution, and self-love, each as an act of liberation that benefits the larger communities.

COVID-19 Notice: Proof of vaccination and photo ID are required to attend in-person.
