Dr. Kirsten Smayda is a Senior Applied Researcher at MedRhythms, a music-based digital therapeutics company based out of the Old Port in Portland, ME. Her training is in music performance and psychology and her research has spanned how music training impacts the brain across the lifespan. Prior to her role at MedRhythms, Kirsten was a data scientist at Pear Therapeutics, a prescription digital therapeutics company.
