Musical Guest: Natalia ‘Saw Lady’ Paruz
Natalia can be heard playing the musical saw on movie soundtracks such as Francis Ford Coppola’s ‘Megalopolis’, ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ with Lady Gaga, HBO’s ‘The Jinx’ (winner of 2 Emmy awards), ‘Time Out of Mind’ with Richard Gere, Fox Searchlight’s ‘Another Earth’, ‘Dummy’ with Adrien Brody, etc. She performed with the Israel Philharmonic conducted by Zubin Mehta, with the Westchester Philharmonic, Royal Air Moroccan Symphony, Manhattan Chamber Orchestra and at Lincoln Center with PDQ Bach composer Peter Schickele and with the Little Orchestra Society. She was chosen by Time Out New York and the Village Voice for their ‘Best of New York’ lists, and the ‘Washington Post’ crossword puzzle had Paruz as a question: “Down 5 – Instrument played by Natalia Paruz”. Find her on social media/youtube and all streaming platforms as ‘Saw Lady’ and on her website SawLady.com

About Sunday Platform
Sunday Platform is our most important and long-standing community event. These gatherings educate, stimulate personal growth, inspire reflection and action, and strengthen our community. Sunday meetings begin with music, followed by greetings and a talk given by a Society Leader, member, or guest. Platforms cover a variety of topics that reflect current events, pressing social issues, and Humanist philosophy. Each Sunday meeting is followed by a luncheon and social hour.
