Sunday Platform with Andrea Reyes and Deinya Phenix: ‘Guided by Community: A Conversation’

Sun April 19 | 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM

Free in-person and online!

Guided By Community: A Conversation is an intimate and reflective dialogue between Andrea Reyes and scholar Deinya Phenix, exploring the complexities of community as both a lived experience and a systemic practice.

Drawing from Reyes’ latest book, Guided by Community, the conversation moves beyond idealized notions of belonging to examine the realities of participation, power, care, and transition. Together, they explore what it means to build, sustain, and step away from community—and why, even in moments of tension or change, community remains a critical site for learning, connection, and transformation.

Blending personal narrative with conceptual insight, this conversation invites audiences to consider their own relationship to community—not as a fixed identity, but as an evolving practice shaped through reflection, dialogue, and shared experience.

Community lunch follows, free for first-time guests and families participating in the Young Ethical Explorers Program.
