Nori Rost: Living Response-Ably in Community

On this Sunday, as we welcome the folx who have become members over the past few years, Dr. Rost will examine what means to be a part of a community. What does it mean to belong? What are the gifts? What are the sacrifices? How do we know when to step up our involvement in our community and how do we know it’s time to step back? How do we, as a community, honor the gifts and time of our members? This Platform will be followed with a lunch cookout on the rooftop deck and an opportunity to hear from our newer members.

Sunday Platform is our most important and long-standing community event. These gatherings educate, stimulate personal growth, inspire reflection and action, and strengthen our community. Sunday meetings begin with music, followed by greetings and a talk given by a Society Leader, member, or guest. Platforms cover a variety of topics that reflect current events, pressing social issues, and Humanist philosophy. Each Sunday meeting is followed by a luncheon and social hour.
