January 28: A Vigil to Honor a Life: Jason

By January 24, 2024January 25th, 2024No Comments

Join the UWS community for a memorial honoring the life of our neighbor, Jason (aka Thomas or Dwane)

On the rocks above the 63rd Street entrance to Central Park, Jason (aka Thomas or Dwane) passed his time reading, sleeping, and sometimes chatting with neighbors. He was a wise and gentle soul.

While we search for his name, identity, and possible family, we want to acknowledge his passing from hypothermia this past weekend.

Come with a story about him, a candle, or flowers. We’ll gather for a short remembrance circle and then walk to his home spot to leave candles, flowers, and some neighborhood love.

To make sure we have enough space, RSVP is required. Click here to RSVP on Eventbrite.
