Leader Joe Chuman to Receive American Ethical Union’s Felix Adler Lifetime Achievement Award

Dr. Joe Chuman will receive the Felix Adler Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s AEU Annual Assembly this summer. The award officially recognizes AEU members who have stimulated the growth of the Ethical Culture Movement during their many years of active participation in the AEU and its member Societies.

In addition to being a Leader at the New York and Bergen Societies for Ethical Culture, Joe has worked on behalf of human rights, civil liberties, and in opposition to the death penalty. He teaches at Columbia University and Hunter College. Dr. Chuman also taught at the United Nations University for Peace in San Jose, Costa Rica.
