Tonight: “Challenges and Promises of Technology in Dermatology” at Speaking of Science

Speaking of Science returns on Zoom! The program will feature two twenty-minute talks followed by a Q&A. Society member Carol Portlock moderates.

This month, our guests will explore the challenges and promises of technology in the field of dermatology, focusing particularly on teledermatology and artificial intelligence.

This Month’s Speakers

Veronica Rotemberg, MD, PhD is the director of dermatology imaging informatics at MSKCC. She has a biomedical engineering background, and she is passionate about imaging and AI standards. Her research focuses on factors that impact AI performance in dermatology applications. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and spending time with her children.

Allison Gordon, MD is a dermatologist at MSKCC, where she oversees our teledermatology program. She is developing a centerwide dermatology e-consultation program to improve the triage, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic dermatologic conditions. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her daughters and exploring parks around NYC.
