Support the Spring Midnight Run: Give to Help Our Unhoused Neighbors on April 18

By March 21, 2024No Comments

DOUBLE YOUR DONATION: The Society will match the first $1,000 raised!

On April 18, the Society is proud to partner with Fordham University, Goddard Riverside, and Nordstrom to serve our unhoused neighbors with the Spring 2024 Midnight Run, and we need your help!

About Midnight Run

Midnight Run coordinates over 1,000 relief missions per year, in which volunteers from churches, synagogues, schools and other civic groups distribute food, clothing, blankets and personal care items to the homeless poor on the streets of New York City.

These late-night relief efforts create a forum for trust, sharing, understanding and affection. That human exchange, rather than simply the exchange of goods, is the essence of the Midnight Run mission.

How Your Donations Will Help

Donations made through the Society will be used to purchase socks, undershirts, underwear, and hygiene kits–some of the most requested items–from our wholesale partner, which will then be distributed by the team of Midnight Run volunteers along with sandwiches, water, toiletries, and other supplies provided by our partners.

Every $25 you give can purchase one of the following:

41 pairs of socks
12 undershirts
15 sets of underwear
13 hygiene kits

The Society has pledged to match the first $1,000 in donations, so please give generously!

Funds not spent on items for the April 18 Midnight Run will be used to supply Midnight Runs later in 2024 and beyond.

If you have questions, or would like to participate in upcoming Midnight Runs, please respond to this email or contact contact@nysec.org.
