Solstice gifts from youth of Ethical NYC:
*** Haiku from Oberon:
Darkness is so still
An absolute mystery
It seems infinite
*** Vision from Marifer:
I like the dark, because…
When you think of a human, you probably think of them with flesh on.
In reality, the only parts of us that are actually the human parts are the brain, the nervous system, and the eyes.
Those are the parts that makes Us, Us. If we were different inside, we’d look the same, but we’d be a completely different person.
That’s the part of us that really matters. In the dark you can hear the thoughts a person shares with you,
so, you see them as they really are. You can only have that in the dark.
Happy Solstice Everyone!
As we celebrate the darkest night, we begin to move toward the light.
This little light of mine… I’m gonna let it shine!
Through the dark cold winter…
I’m gonna let it shine!
With my ethical community…
I’m gonna let it shine!
With my good neighbors…
I’m gonna let it shine!
For all humanity…
I’m gonna let it shine!
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine
