The Week, Pt. I: Understanding the Ecological Crisis and Our Emotional Response (Members Only / In-Person)
April 20 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

We are facing an ecological crisis that threatens much of what we take for granted today. When presented with information about this crisis we tend to either fall into a sense of overwhelm or despair (or cycle between the two)—these reactions prevent us from stepping forward to bring about the needed changes in our lives and communities to help secure a sustainable future for all. In the face of rapid environmental breakdown and climate change, The Week is a group experience to help us see what’s coming, and what we can do about it.
Led by Society Executive Director and environmental activist Dan Donohue, and taking place over three sessions, The Week will give you a better understanding of the crisis and help you develop tools of emotional resilience so we can begin to take action both personally and as a community.
Schedule
Each session will be centered on a 1-hour video from The Week. We will watch the first video together in Session 1, and the others will be watched at home prior to sessions 2 and 3. We will engage in facilitated discussions about the videos in each session.
