Our friends at the Marlene Meyerson JCC have joined our Ethical Action Food Insecurity Initiative! The JCC will be collecting items on Monday, December 6 from 10:00am-4:00pm. From the JCC:
More than 1.5 million New Yorkers are food insecure—including one in three children. Interested in doing something to help? You can donate items to our one day/one hour food drive and learn how to organize a drive of your own at your school or building. Our partners in this effort are Janet and Howard Rose of the New York Society for Ethical Culture, who have been organizing apartment and school-based food drives in Manhattan since 2020, collecting over six tons of food in the process.
Accepted items include dry and canned goods, diapers, and feminine products. No open or expired items please. Donations will be delivered to NYC food banks.
