Ethical Adventures Easy Walkers: Governors Island

Let’s walk around Governor’s Island and learn something about its 400-year colonial history and present uses. We’ll meet at Ethical at 9:30 and ride the #1 train to South Ferry. (Or you could meet us near the #1 exit on the Staten Island Ferry Plaza. Just let us know.) We’ll walk a few feet to the (extraordinary) Battery Maritime Building, buy our $3 round trip tickets and ride the ferry 800 yards to the island. There will probably be little or no food available there in November; so after an estimated two-hour visit we’ll ferry back to Manhattan for lunch.
NOTE: The 9:30 departure time is based on the October Ferry schedule. The November schedule will not be announced until November 1, and it may require a modification to our departure time. Be sure to sign up with us so that we can notify you in early November of the change, if any.
