Ethical Adventures – The Rubin Museum: “Measure Your Existence”
February 24, 2020 @ 10:15 am - 5:00 pm
The Rubin is NYC’s museum of Himalayan Art, located in the beautiful building that was once Barney’s. The theme of their current exhibition is “Impermanence.” The fleeting, impermanent here and now–in all it’s destruction, regeneration, and intense immediacy–is the ultimate reality. The exhibition questions and expands the Buddhist concept of impermanence through artworks by six contemporary artists who explore duration, survival, memory, fate, history, loss, disappearance, and reappearance. Visitors are called upon to co-produce, participate, and intimately experience works of art through time-based and durational installations.
Lunch at Cafe Sera. If you RSVP to Elinore at ethicaloutlook@gmail.com, and we have a group of 10 or more, we can reserve a table beforehand.
Meet at the Ethical Loby at 10:15. The Rubin is located at 150 W 17th St. Admission is $19, $14 for seniors. Museum opens at 11:00.
