Ethics and the Theater: ‘Lungs’ by Duncan Macmillan

April 8, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Our long-running staged reading and discussion series returns in-person with Lungs by Duncan Macmillan:

A man and a woman are having a conversation —not an argument or even a discussion, they insist, a conversation. Not an ordinary conversation, though. It spans an entire lifetime, and topics range from staples like commitment and family to the ethics of having a child in an increasingly environmentally and politically stressed world. It’s a conversation that is by turns and sometimes simultaneously revealing, funny, and heartbreaking.

After the play, member Betsy Ungar will moderate an open discussion about the ethical issues raised and explored in the work. Produced by Patricia Bruder Debrovner.

Matinee encore on Sunday, April 10, 1:30-3:00pm.

Members $5, Guests $10 (at door)

COVID-19 Notice: Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, photo ID, and mask are required to attend.
