Ethics and the Theater: “Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune” by Terrence McNally
September 27, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Our monthly staged reading and discussion series continues online with Terrence McNally’s Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, performed by Christine Verleny and Walter Brandes, and directed by Kathy MacGowan.
Middle-aged and scarred by disappointment, Frankie and Johnny are not the typical rom-com couple. But their searching, revealing, and often hilarious interplay following their first sexual encounter suggests they just might turn a one-night stand into a lasting, loving relationship.
Following the play reading, Betsy Ungar will lead an audience discussion of the ethical issues of the play.
