Ethics, Fair Trade, and You: ‘The True Cost’ Film Screening (Online)

Who really pays the price for our clothing? The documentary film The True Cost tells the untold story about the clothes we wear, the people who make them, and the impact the industry is having on our world. The price of clothing has been decreasing for decades, while the human and environmental costs have grown dramatically. Following the film, we will also present a shopping guide of fair-trade vendors for the holidays. Andrea and Carla are co-founders, and Leigh is a member, of the NYC Fair Trade Coalition, a grassroots organization that promotes fair trade businesses and retailers in NYC and educates consumers on the importance of fair trade.
