Lunch with the League of Women Voters: ‘What to Know About NYC’s Migrant Crisis’ with Manuel Castro

Mayor Eric Adams declared a state of emergency to address a “crisis situation” over an influx of migrants from the border states. Over 20,000 migrants have arrived in New York City by bus in the past six months. Many of those arriving are families with school-aged children and are in serious need of medical care. Office of Immigrant Affairs Commissioner, Manuel Castro, will discuss the crisis and how it is being handled.
