The New York City Guitar Orchestra, under the direction of Nicoletta Todesco, is a unique community ensemble with a mission to build the repertoire for guitar orchestra while providing great performances and an engaging and social musical experience for orchestra members and audiences alike. Established by the New York City Classical Guitar Society ni 2010, the orchestra has an ambitious commissioning program that has produced works from composers ranging from the world of film scoring to the avant-garde, made possible by generous grants from The Augustine Foundation and support from individuals.
