Nori Rost: What Can Creation Spirituality Teach Us About Glorious Diversity?
July 2, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
In-person and online!
Creation Spirituality, first espoused in Matthew Fox’s 1983 book, Original Blessing, rejoices in and courageously honors the rich diversity within the Cosmos which is expressed in every individual and embodies multiple cultures, religions, and ancestral traditions. Creation is rife with theme and variation and yet fear has driven us to try to tame, label and homogenize it.
Dr. Rost will explore, from an Ethical Humanist perspective, what we lose when we privilege dominant voices and limit perspectives and how we can create space for Glorious Diversity to be celebrated in our midst.

Sunday Platform is our most important and long-standing community event. These gatherings educate, stimulate personal growth, inspire reflection and action, and strengthen our community. Sunday meetings begin with music, followed by greetings and a talk given by a Society Leader, member, or guest. Platforms cover a variety of topics that reflect current events, pressing social issues, and Humanist philosophy. Each Sunday meeting is followed by a luncheon and social hour.
