Ethical Seedlings for Climate Justice Education are germinating through ETHICAL COMMUNITREE workshops & performances.
Have you heard… the city plans to engage all NYC students in BOP-ing this fall! BOP — meaning Breathe on Purpose, of course! This mindfulness initiative may indeed bring young folks into powerful connection with their breathing partners of the earth…. the Trees! Meanwhile, ETHICAL NYC would like to invite SCHOOL GROUPS to plan a trip to ETHICAL NYC to really BOP!
This is a call to educators, to apply now for your class/school to join ETHICAL COMMUNITREE performance and workshop opportunities this fall. Ethical NYC wishes to offer creative and empowering climate awareness programming for school groups this fall. Schools and families are invited to plan a FIELD TRIP TO ETHICAL NYC for a November dance performance (with Q&A) featuring Ethical Eco-artist in Residence, Jody Sperling and her TIMELAPSE DANCE company. To apply for free tickets for your school-group, reach out to YoungEthicalExplorers@gmail.com.
Dovetailing with the performance invitation, is the opportunity for school groups to apply to host A WORKSHOP session (either as prep or follow up to the performance) in their own locale. This educational initiative can bring young people into literary, creative, and kinesthetic explorations of their own TREE-BREATH, TREE-BODY and TREE-MIND to nurture the growth of their own ECO-VOICES. As a cross-disciplinary workshop, it can be hosted by teachers of various disciplines, for all ages, and will be collaboratively tailored as such.
Parents, Educators and even Students are welcome to be ambassadors for their communities — to share this opportunity with others.
