Fighting voter suppression is both more important and more challenging than ever, and directly engaging voters is crucial to protecting and expanding our democracy.

Bring a friend and join the Society’s Social Service Board for our next Reclaim Our Vote postcard writing gathering from 5:00-7:30pm on Thursday, August 29! So far, our team has prepared postcards to help thousands of voters learn about, and then beat, voter suppression in their states.

Next up: Texas and North Carolina

Postcards created at this gathering will be mailed to lists of targeted voters in October, ensuring they arrive before election day.

Can’t Make This Gathering? You Can Still Help!

Simply email Social Service Board chair Janet Rose at rov.nysec@gmail.com to place an order for postcard supplies in multiples of 20. Supply packets can be picked up at the Society Monday-Thursday, 10am-4pm.

Supply packets include your requested quantity of postcards, labels, addresses, and instructions. The cost is .60 per postcard with stamps, or .10 per postcard without stamps. Payment info will be sent to you when you request the packet.

Postcards will be targeting voters in Georgia and Texas, and won’t be mailed until early to mid-October, so consider taking a many as you think you can complete before then!

Reclaim Our Vote is a campaign of the Center for Common Ground, a non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to empower under-represented voters to fully participate in elections.
