This year’s spring festival, hosted by Audrey Kindred & Simba Yangala,
with special guest artists, is called “Ubuntu: circles of humanity on earth”
The concept of Ubuntu expresses a sense of interrelatedness that uplifts us all. Ubuntu is a deep concept from the cradle of humanity, expressing a co-creational human dynamic of “creating beloved community” — interconnectedness, mutuality, belonging.  This term from African humanism, expresses a notion that “people are people because of people.”
While this concept is expressed in many cultures,  the theme of Ubuntu itself has been authentically shared with Young Ethical Explorers through the teachings of YEE teacher, Simba Yangala.  We’ve been growing this theme since launching the Ethical community’s 2025 season with Dr. King’s emphasis on Beloved Community (with MLK fest, banner, special speaker, colloquies …).

Gifts from Young Ethical Explorers will be shared with the community as we create a space for the deep values of ubuntu, humanist belonging and beloved community  to thrive.
Special guest artist:
Isis Poulose, dance choreographer and Fordham University graduate.
Special gifts:
Community sound bath!

As Ethical NYC prepares to launch the 150th Year of the Ethical movement, this gathering celebrates Felix Adler’s important notion, certainly akin to Ubuntu, that by bringing out the best others is how we can, indeed,  bring out the best in ourselves.
Our April 13th spring festival launches Earth Day Awareness, celebrating through the arts and community collaboration.
Celebration will be followed by community lunch and social time on our peace playground.
