Our YEE members once again participated in the annual Amnesty International “Write for Rights” campaign in December. From more than 100 countries across the globe supporters write letters for people experiencing human rights abuse. At the AI website we’re told that the campaign works: “Together, we have freed prisoners of conscience, saved the lives of human rights defenders under attack, stopped torture and put an end to some of the world’s worse human rights abuses.” We’re so pleased that Amnesty International NYC is one of our ally organizations.
