4000 Miles
by Amy Herzog

When Leo shows up at Vera’s New York apartment late at night, he’s exhausted, dirty—and unexpected. He has been on the road, biking from Seattle, and has not communicated with anyone since a tragic accident that occurred en route. Vera, his grandmother, who last saw Leo years ago at her husband’s funeral, welcomes him with wary affection. Over the course of the next several days, the two become reacquainted, struggling, often comically, to bridge the gaps between them and form a common front against the pain of living and loss.

Starring Patricia Bruder Debrovner, Luke Hofmaier, Jenny Leona, Yi Liu, and Bonnie Bean. Directed by Kathy Gail MacGowan. Produced by Pat Debrovner.

Join us for a pre-show reception at 1:00pm, and post-reading talkback exploring the ethical issues raised in the play!

RSVP on Eventbrite

4000 Miles is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com.
